Join this FREE integrated project between young people onsite and Outreach groups. In partnership with St George Mental Health Service, Beverly Hills IEC, Fairfield IEC, Fairfield High School, Menai High School and Lomandra School. Travel Songs is a Performance and Film Project, devised by young people working with a range of mentors. This project responds to the themes of belonging, loss and transition and will develop visual storytelling, performance, music and film-making skills. Meet young people from all walks of life and be part of a powerful, inter-cultural project. The project will culminate in an outdoor public screening.

The NSW Independent Local Government Review Panel has released its discussion paper Future Directions for NSW Local Government: Twenty Essential Steps and is visiting Hurstville on Monday 27 May 2013.

The Panel's Future Directions consultation will include visits to 29 regional cities and towns and 8 locations in the Sydney Metropolitan area from Thursday 9 May until Friday 14 June 2013. Community Hearings will be held to provide opportunity for local people and organisations to express their views directly to the Panel and discuss the various ideas and proposals in the paper
