Online Services & Payment

The rates charged to residents and businesses within Rockdale City Council's boundaries are used to fund essential local services and facilities, including roads, libraries, footpath maintenance, street lighting, parks and gardens and community halls, as well as a contribution to the Fire Brigade (set by the State Government).

In addition, rate payers are charged a separate levy for Waste Removal services.

Read How Your Rates Are Calculated.

Rate notices and due dates

Rate notices are posted in July each year and, if you opt to pay the amount in full, are due on or before August 31.

If you decide to pay your rates in four equal instalments (every three months) the first payment is also due on or before August 31. Your remaining three instalment payments are then due on or before:

  • November 30
  • February 28
  • May 31

Reminder notices for your 2nd, 3rd and 4th instalments are posted the month prior to the due date.

If you don't receive your annual rate notice by the end of July or your reminder notice at least one month before an instalment is due, please contact Council's Customer Service Centre on 1300 581 299 as soon as possible to arrange to have a copy sent.

For information on payment methods, pensioner rebates and penalties for late payments, see How to Pay Your Rates.
