Councillor Angela Koutoulas - Fifth Ward

Angela Koutoulas has lived in the City of Rockdale for the past 16 years, and enjoys its proximity to the beach and city.

"Rockdale caters for everyone's needs. Rockdale is rich with a diverse mixture of residents, as well as having a great choice of cafes and restaurants."

Angela Koutoulas was elected to Council in 1999 and remains passionate about the balance between the natural and built environments of the Rockdale area.

"I want to ensure that the future of our City is not only an improvement to our quality of life but also to ensure that it isn't compromised by poor planning and inappropriate development."

"Rockdale in 10 years should be a City with tree lined suburban streets, and town centres which are vibrant, clean and welcoming to residents. There should be a greater mixture of active open space areas, which are well maintained and accessible to residents especially in areas such as Sandringham, Kogarah, Bexley, Arncliffe and Rockdale. Overall I want a cleaner and safer Rockdale City."

Angela Koutoulas feels that Council should always provide a good and effective service to its residents. "Representing residents with honesty and integrity, as well as being able to deliver solutions to local problems and improving our quality of life is what we should focus on."

Angela Koutoulas has completed a Degree in Applied Science Industrial Chemistry with Honours at the University of NSW and is currently studying a Masters of Law and Legal Practice at UTS.
