Major Projects in the City

Rockdale City Council aims to provide residents, businesses and other interested parties with regular updated information on major developments and planning projects occurring within the City's boundaries.

Within the City of Rockdale there is a lot of major developments underway which will change the look, feel and character of the City. To better plan and coordinate the pressure of accommodating increasing numbers of residents in Sydney, the Council is taking a proactive approach to help guide development and ensure existing and future residents, businesses and visitors, benefit from the growth and opportunities it brings.

• Wolli Creek - urban regeneration of former mainly industrial lands to create a new community, with employment, shopping and leisure opportunities on the banks of the Cooks River.

• Cooks Cove - creation of a new business environment, with improved and expanded recreation opportunities beside the Cooks River and Muddy Creek.
