Management
An exciting opportunity exists to join the Technical Services Unit of
Rockdale City Council as the Coordinator Design & Project
Management. The Technical Services Unit also consists of 3 sections -
Corporate Assets, Traffic & Road Safety & Spatial Information.
The role will involve the coordination of a team of professional and
technical staff in the design and project management of roads,
drainage, urban design, landscape, passive and active recreation areas,
structures, buildings, stormwater and general civil works.
Qualifications in Civil Engineering or a related discipline are a
requirement for this position.
The salary and conditions are in accordance with the Local Government
(State) Award 2007 with a commencing salary range of $82,573 - $92,482
p.a., plus 3.5% Civil Liabilities allowance. A lease back vehicle will
be provided under the terms of Council’s leaseback car policy.

Temporary Project
Management & Design Engineer (12
months contract)
An exciting opportunity exists to join the Technical Services Unit of
Rockdale City Council as the Temporary Project Management & Design
Engineer. The Technical Services Unit also consists of 3 sections -
Corporate Assets, Traffic & Road Safety & Spatial Information.
The position will undertake the management of contracts, medium to
large projects as well as design of projects in-house or by consultants
with expertise in storm water, flooding, WSUD and general civil design
works. The role will involve the project management and design of
drainage, urban design, water sensitive urban design and general civil
works.
The applicant is required to have demonstrated design and project
management skills in the field of civil infrastructure. An
understanding of Auto CAD and Drainage Design tools is necessary. A
current drivers licence is essential. Full details of the position are

The position is remunerated at Grade 13 with salary range between
$63,987 - $71,665 p.a., plus 3.5% Civil Liabilities allowance,
depending upon experience and qualifications.
